Todd Smith grew up in Wyoming and has spent much of his life pursuing trophy big game animals across North America. He and his family enjoy the thrills of chasing big cats and look forward to sharing that passion with their hunters. They realize that a good hunting trip is more than just harvesting a trophy mountain lion. Bear Basin Outfitters wants to offer you a positive experience throughout your hunt. You can expect top-notch service, comfortable accomodations, great food, excellent hunting guides, and memories that will last a lifetime.

The Hunting:  All mountain lion hunts are 7 day hunts. All indicators are that Wyoming's lion population is on the rise providing a great opportunity for hunters to harvest a good trophy cat. Bear Basin's cougar hunts are guided exclusively by Jason Reinhardt, one of the best mountain lion guides in Wyoming. Jason holds a State of Wyoming Professional Guides license, has a history of finding a lot of big cats and is the hardest working guide you will ever hunt with. You will finish your hunt knowing that every effort was made to help you harvest a good cat legally, ethically, and always using fair chase methods. Additionally, Jason guides exclusively for Bear Basin Outfitters, making his talents unavailable to other outfitters in the area.

Location:  Bear Basin Outfitters is located in the famous Hoback Canyon region of western Wyoming, 15 miles south of Jackson Hole, WY. This area is full of wildlife and the scenery is second to none. Transportation to and from Jackson Hole International Airport is included in your package price, should you need it.

Meals & Lodging:   You will either stay in a cozy private room in the lodge at the ranch or in a local hotel near Jackson Hole, Wyoming. A brown bag lunch is provided daily. All other meals are at the expense of the hunter..

Rates:  The cost for a 7 day Wyoming mountain lion hunt is $4500. This includes all lodging, lunch in the field, and generally everything you will need when hunting.

Other/Combination Hunts:  In addition to their Wyoming mountain lion hunting, Bear Basin offers trophy mule deer hunting, Bighorn sheep, bison, black bear, moose, WY antelope hunts, and very good Wyoming elk hunting.
