Our mountain lion hunts are conducted November to March each year. The success of your hunt is limited only by your personal commitment and the weather. As professional houndsmen we use only the most highly trained dogs who are deterred only by rainy or muddy weather. We use 4x4 trucks and snow machines when necessary. The average walk to a treed lion is about a mile. You will be able to take your time. Your mountain lion hunt can be archery, pistol, rifle, muzzleloader or shotgun. Mountain Lion can be tracked successfully on the dry ground but you spend more time looking for a good track. The dogs are unable to track in the mud or rain so this should be taken into consideration when booking your hunt. Most hunts you will be staying at our house in Norwood although we hunt many areas of Colorado.

We offer guided hunts for mule deer, elk and mountain lion. We also provide hunts to muzzleloader and archery hunters. We limit the number of hunters on the ranch to optimize success and maximize our service. Our lion hunts are one on one, one guide to one hunter. We use snowmobiles, ATV's and 4x4's as much as possible, but due to the nature of the terrain, there is a great degree of hiking involved. A lion hunt can be very strenuous, so a hunter needs to be in good physical condition. We use Treeing Walker hounds and they are dependable and experienced. We can accommodate archery hunters as well as pistol or rifle hunters. Lion hunters are welcome to stay at the cabin on the ranch, which is heated and has shower and toilet facilities. Breakfast and supper are served in the ranch house, with noon meals generally packed in coolers and thermos' to take along on the hunt. We have had many successful lion hunts - some have been truly memorable. A lion hunt can be very exciting, and unlike anything you have every experienced. Lion licenses may be purchased over the counter.
