In addition to trophy elk hunts, we offer mule deer, shiras moose, buffalo and cougar hunts. All hunts are professionally guided. You may choose to hunt on foot, by horseback, or by ATV. We hunt one on one with experienced guides who know these beautiful mountains and the animals that inhabit them. We hunt with horses and hiking. We use A.T.V.s and 4 wheel drive vehicles when needed, depending on the areas you want to hunt, and on your physical condition. This hunting trip is for five days with three days in the field. Cougar hunts are $3,900 plus license.

Sunrise Outfitting, Inc. is a fully licensed guide service operating out of southeastern Utah, in San Juan County. Sunrise Outfitting has been in business for sixteen years. Sunrise Outfitting specializes in mountain lion hunts with the use of a great pack of hound dogs. We also provide guide services for elk, mule deer, black bear, desert bighorn sheep, turkeys, and even prairie dogs and coyotes. Sunrise specializes in mountain lion hunts with hound pursuits. We have approximately an 80% success rate for cougar. We can provide many references from cougar hunts over the last ten years. Cougar Season is on a quota basis. All tags are bought over the counter, the season begins in mid-December and continues until the quota has been filled.

I have been hunting Cougar most of my life. We are one of the most successful Cougar operations in the world. We have exclusive Cougar and Bear hunting rights on several hundred thousand acres. Utah recently started a conservation tag program.  Conservation tags are 100% tax deductible for the buyer.  This conservation money is used on wildlife projects here in Utah.  It is money well spent for wildlife and habitat.  These tags allow us to hunt the premium areas without waiting to draw a tag.  We can assist you in purchasing these tags and help you apply for the big game drawings. We hunt Cougars from December to April. We use 4-wheel drive pickups, snowmobiles, 4-wheeler ATV's, and horses to follow the cats depending upon conditions.
